What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
